Coaches

 


Head Coach Tom Marcis is a native of Cleveland, Ohio. He played soccer collegiately for Concordia University, Ann Arbor, MI. He was a four year letter winner for Concordia and an all-conference selection. Marcis is the soccer coordinator for Simle Middle School and before coming to Legacy coached both boys and girls soccer at Simle Middle School for 19 years. Marcis also was the Head Girls Soccer Coach for Legacy High School for five years. In 2005 he was selected North Dakota Girls Competitive Soccer Coach of the year. In 2025 he was selected North Dakota High School Boys soccer coach of the year. His involvement in the Bismarck soccer community extends to coaching traveling soccer teams and being a Referee. Marcis also is the president for the North Dakota Soccer Association. He and his wife, Sara, have four grown children and six grandchildren.


 

 

 

Varsity Assistant Coach Ben Cleary is a native of Bismarck, North Dakota. He played high school soccer at Century High School where he was an All-State first teamer and state champion. Ben played collegiately and recreationally at Montana State University which is where he first discovered his love for coaching. After moving to Fargo to attend NDSU, Cleary coached at West Fargo High School for the 2024 and 2025 boys soccer seasons. He graduated from NDSU in the fall of 2025 and moved back to Bismarck with his wife Abbey to own and operate a landscape and lawn care company. Ben is ready to continue the tradition of excellence in Legacy Saber soccer and looks forward to a great season. 

 

 

 

 

Varsity Reserve Coach Logan Reuschlein Logan graduated from Bismarck High School in the spring of 2024. He's currently attending the University of Mary and studying biomechanics. In the summer Logan enjoys working at Riverwood Golf Course and Mo's Snow Shack. Logan grew up playing soccer and was a multi-year starter at Bismarck High School. Logan is excited to take the next step into coaching! 

 

 

 


 

 

 

 

JV2  Black Coach Matt Jankowski is an ELA teacher at Legacy High School. Matt is originally from Buffalo, New York and played competitive soccer in that area for over 20 years. He has four years of u14 to u17 coaching experience. His partner Brittany works as a mental health counselor and they live in Mandan with their three children, Fernando and Margaret. Matt has lived in the BisMan area for four years now and is thrilled to be part of the Legacy Boys Soccer tradition!
